6 years

"..Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal..."

Today marks the 6th year anniversary since my dad grew his wings
I miss him every day

I want to share with you something I wrote on a white board after my dad passed away ... my mom still has it too

"Dad...Father...Friend...Brother...Son...Husband..."Matt"
These memories we all have of you will always stay with us. There wouldn't be a day that goes by that you aren't with us and aren't thought of. You have marked a time in our lives that we will always remember you and think of you the way you were to us. You always had and have a special part of you that opened your heart to everyone you knew and loved. You supported everyone and helped people in decisions and just little problems that made you have a bigger heart and become a stronger person. Now. through these times you can support and help us with anything you would usually do.
Dad, you will always be missed, but never forgotten in my heart and everyones.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Mom and to the USA!
We took my mom to the Freedom Fair (click on the link to learn more) in Tacoma since we have moved to Washington when were little. Its a little tradition we have always stuck with. They have a little air show with airplanes and a jet. It was really over cast this year compared to last year which was really HOT and uncomfortable. Dylan didn't sleep the whole time which was nice. He saw all the planes and even a train! When the jet took off, the after boom sound scared him pretty bad but I covered his ears and he seemed to be ok with it. He eventually learned out to cover it on his own. The rest of the evening went well. Dylan had a little accident with his pants and ended up being pant-less by the end of the day and was dancing out in his diaper. It was pretty funny:) Of course I have pictures... just be patience!

Once we got back to Trevors' parents house and settled in for fireworks, Dylan was already out and slept through the fireworks once again, third 4th of July in a row. Even the night before people were shooting them off and he didn't seem to like the big BOOM part of it but thought it was interested with the lights. So I guess it was a good thing he was out for the night cause we had some pretty good ones. We hung out across the street and had a bon fire. We even had some smores! Yummy :) and kicked back with a beer :)

I sure do hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the 4th!
Enjoy the pictures!

Ok are you ready for the dancing?

Having Cotton Candy for the first time
I dont think he liked the texture of it...

Then the minute we got in the truck... he was out!

The next day we had a few more fireworks left over and thought we show Dylan...
He loved the little pop its (you can throw them or stomp on it) He loved to do it!

But once we started the medium ones ...
He hid behind me...
